In case anyone is interested in attending:

From Cowboy Up For Vets, via James Drury's Virginian Posse facebook site:

I have a big announcement to make. The guest list has been completed. I hope you all are sitting down and holding onto your hats.....The entire Virginian cast will be appearing at Cowboy Up 2016. We have The Virginian, himself, Mr. James Drury, Gary Clarke, Clu Gulagar, Randy Boone, Don Quine, L.Q. Jones, Roberta Shore, Sara Lane and Diane Roter.

It is going to be one fantastic event. We also, have John Phipps (Tonto) and Troy Casey (The Lone Ranger) putting on a Sat. eve show.

Remember it is being held at the W.B. Ranch 1640 Co.Rd. B in Swanton, Ohio 43558 on April 22-24, 2016. The Black Swamp Bandits Mounted Shooters along with, The Cowboy Mounted Shooters Association, will be putting on a three day shooting competition. I will get starting times to you as soon as they are available

So, please mark your calendars and plan to attend as this may be the last time all of the cast members will be together. And again, it is to benefit The Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and Heroes In Action.

Boy, howdy--that looks fantastic. And L.Q. Jones is one of my favorite character actors. What a smorgasbord.

I know! I'm considering going. L.Q. alone would be worth the trip!

With MeTV and TVLand showing so many different westerns over the past few years, I do wonder why it seems as though INSP is the only channel showing The Virginian.

It might be the length of the episodes or the cost??? But now that I think about it, Hallmark used to show it in the early 80's on Sunday night with Lancer. It was called "Shoot 'em up Sunday" and started about 6:00 in the evening, I think. Maybe INSP is owned by Hallmark. And I sure wish a station would show Lancer!

I think it's something to do with the length. It's hard to get people to set aside 1-1/2 hours to watch an old TV show. (Present company excepted, of course!)

You may be right about the length, ellen.

And I would love to see Lancer again, Adamant.
