Kevin Hagen was born in 1928. He didn't start out planning to go into acting--he went to law school for some time at UCLA and worked for the U.S. State Department in Germany. But he left law school and made his first appearance on TV in 1957. For a long time, Kevin was cast in a lot of bad guy roles. He said he enjoyed that; he was quoted in a newspaper as saying, "It was fun, you could be as mean as you wanted to be. There's a heavy in all of us."
Kevin is best known for his role as Doc Baker on Little House on the Prairie. After his success with that role, he was cast as a doctor in a number of other productions. He also appeared in Bonanza: The Next Generation. Kevin continued acting until 1990. He passed away from cancer in 2005.
