Guest Star POW 1/25 ~ Mary Fickett

Post by CowgirlAtHeart »

Mary Fickett played Erin in the season 10 episode "Erin." She was a strong woman with a great love for the Native American people who had raised her, and Hoss fell deeply in love with her. I was so sad that the episode ended tragically!

Mary Fickett was born in New York in 1928. Her father, Homer Fickett, was a radio director. Mary studied acting at New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse and went on to act on Broadway; she played Eleanor Roosevelt in a play called "Sunrise at Campobello" and was nominated for a Tony award for her part. In 1953 she had her first onscreen role in Ponds Theater. Mary is best known for her roles in All My Children (for which she won an Emmy) and The Nurses. She passed away in 2011.
