I loved this topic, congratulations on the great job in showing the screencaps in black and white and in color!!! :goodjob
I've watched this episode in color and I confess that I also prefer see in color. But I wouldn't mind seeing Guy Williams in black and white in any way! :zorro :hearts

Wow! That was a lot of work to get all those screencaps in both versions! Nice work. Liked the bloopers too.

I prefer the color also...I think just because I'm used to it.

Although there are many B&W televsion shows that I would not like to see colorized, i.e., I Love Lucy and the early Andy Griffith shows, I do like the colorized Zoro. THe colors and furniture are so luxurious that the color enhances them. You have done an excellent job with this thread, patina.

Patina has the B&W DVD's and I have the colorized ones. I took the screencaps from the episode and Patina matched them up. Harder job on Patina's side. :grin

Great job Jan & Patina. :thumbup

I can only remember seeing the B & W version on TV when they were first broadcast over here, but I must admit the colour screencaps look good! :yes

I don't know if they were ever broadcast in color. I think they colorized them for the DVD release. Patina???? do you know?

Zorro was never filmed in color--Disney wanted to but ABC refused. Sadly, that's the primary reason Disney decided to cancel the series. The first season was filmed and aired in black and white. The 2nd season was filmed in black and white but colorized by the Disney studio prior to airing. Before the 1st season was released on DVD, a copy of the film was colorized.
