Re: Episode 181 - A KNIGHT TO REMEMBER

This is one of my favorite episodes. I think it was better than The Wooing of Abigail Jones. Pernell did comedy very well. I love how he quoted Shakespeare thoughout the episode. His "Peasants" & swagger at the end were perfect. I wish there had been more episodes like this one.

Re: Episode 179 - A MAN TO ADMIRE

I really liked this episode. DB didn't have much to do in it, but I like the way he stuck with his lawyer. James Gregory did a great job as Hoss' lawyer. He was a very good actor. There is a huge historical error in this episode. Whitney Parker claims to be an associate of Abraham Lincoln who sends ...

Re: Episode 106 - THE WAY STATION

This was copied from Ponderosa Scenery. It's what Dawn Wells thought of the people she worked with on that episode. Trivia: Dawn Wells recalls, "I liked Robert, I thought he was a good, professional actor". Remembering the show's fine cast, she remarked, "Lorne Greene and Michael Landon were warm an...

Re: Episode 172 - THANKS FOR EVERYTHING FRIEND

Adam got his horse & hat back. I guess they were both trained to go home. I didn't care for Sue. Jerry was courting her but she spent a lot of time flirting with Tom at the picnic. I have always liked Rory Calhoon, he had a beautiful smile & I loveed his laugh, but I didn't like his character in th...

I think the best part of this ep was Adam wet and then wrapped in a blanket.
I definitely agree with that statement. I may put the DVD in my computer & take a screenshot of that scene so I can stare at it a lot. :thud

Somebody who knows how should do a jigsaw puzzle of that scene. :drool

Re: Episode 166 - THE PRESSURE GAME

I think part of the "Laura" problem was the episodes were all written by different writers. (Even Laura's house changed.) For a 4-episode arc, you would think they would make an effort to write her character more consistently. The writers / directors: The Waiting Game - Ed Adamson / Richard Sarafia...

Re: Episode 164 - ENTER THOMAS BOWERS

This is s great episode although it could have been over in the first 15 minutes if they'd had just asked him to sing! Lol I like that Bonanza took the time to delve into social issues and although I do love the ending and I know it's only an hour show, i feel that Mr. Bowers was a little too willi...

Re: Episode 165 - THE DARK PAST

There is one thing that really bothers me about this episode & I know it's one reason Pernell wanted to leave. After the Cartwrights find Holly's father, he has been shot & is near death, however, Adam, Hoss, and Joe do nothing until after Pete dies & Ben tells them to get the sheriff. Why did 3 gro...

Re: Episode 163 - THE COMPANEROS

I can't remember the last time I saw this episode. For some reason, MeTv never shows it. It's supposed to be on today, but they're showing Enter Thomas Bowers instead.
