Re: I Rode the Parachute Jump at Coney Island as a child in the late '50s.

Hello rofisher. :hi1 to :boomwagon. We're happy to have you here. While I've never been to Cony Island, I was born & raised in Chicago & can brag about spending many summer days at Riverview park & loved riding the old wooden roller coaster as well as the parachutes.

Re: Episode 68 - SPRINGTIME

I love the Cartwright sandwich, especially the one who always ends up in the middle. I replay that and the mudbath scene over and over. I never get tired of it. Aren't DVD players fun? :wink :very happy I must admit that's the best sandwich I've ever seen & I love the mud bath. I still think Hoss d...

Re: Episode 230 - THE UNWRITTEN COMMANDMENT

This is one of the few post season 6 episodes I watch. I love listening to Wayne Newton sing. I felt sorry for Andy about the way his father was treating him. I've heard of people, who when their spouse dies, get rid of everything that remind them of their spouse. Andy's father is one of those peopl...

Re: Episode 224 - THREE BRIDES FOR HOSS

This is one of the few post season 6 episodes I try to watch. It's supposed to be a Hoss episode but he isn't in it enough. The 3 women are really irritating & the kid is a spoiled brat. If I were Hoss, I'd get on Chub & disappear until all of them were gone. I don't know why Ben & Joe were so supri...

Re: Episode 28 - SAN FRANCISCO

This was such a funny episode. Ben used to be First Mate on Abel Stoddard's ship & should have known better than to go down to the end of the bar. Surely he wouldn't have forgotten Trap Door MacGregor from The Saga of Annie O'Toole. The carniage in the room where they had been holding Ben & the 2 h...

Re: Episode 197 - TO OWN THE WORLD

I loved Telly Savalas as Hackett. He was perfect for the role. If I remember correctly, he was in The Dirty Dozen and played the worst of the 12 men. (It's been a long time since I've seen that movie.) Hackett was so used to buying things just because he could that he thought Ben would just up and s...

Re: Episode 196 - A GOOD NIGHT'S REST

It was a bit silly but funny, too. Joe had a girl over because her father was at a meeting and was to pick her up on his way home. Sometimes noises you should be used to suddenly become irritating. Poor Ben was just having a bad night no matter what! :snoopyhouse It's been a while since I've seen t...

Re: Episode 196 - A GOOD NIGHT'S REST

But I believe the episode would have been just as funny with a different set up. For instance, the episode opens with Ben in a different town, maybe Carson City. He checks into one hotel which is too noisy. He tries another one and then he is constantly kept awake with all the antics of the other g...

I enjoyed this episode. I have a hard time believing that Mr. Norton honestly didn't know he was being a bigot.
He knew he was being a bigot. His comment to Mrs. Michelson in the store proves it.
