Re: Episode 255 - THE UNSEEN WOUND

Leslie Nielsen is awesome in this episode as the Civil War officer who can't seem to let go of the past. It always amazes me how an actor can so effortlessly go into a monologue, really believing that there are people around him. I've heard stories about how wartime can affect those who fought, and ...

Re: Episode 254 - BLACK FRIDAY

I watched this episode for the first time on Saturday night, and I must say, it was an incredible performance. John Saxon was a handsome guest, and I always like to see Ford Rainey in any role. He was so good at the characters he played. Joe's attitude and loyalty towards his friend is natural, even...

Re: Episode 260 - JOE CARTWRIGHT, DETECTIVE

I re-watched this episode last night, and listened to the commentary by Andy Klyde. He spoke of later on when Mitch Vogel joined the cast, saying that the dining room scenes hardly ever passed without escalating into a food fight between Dan and Michael. Peas were in their noses, mashed potatoes in ...

I liked the one from Maverick, and Rawhide comes in second only to Bonanza.

Re: Episode 85 - THE STORM

I watched this episode again the other night. Not particularly one of my favorites, but it was all right. I think my favorite part is when Ben finds Joe at the cabin and gives him the same advice that Captain Stoddard had given him when Elizabeth had passed.

Re: Episode 88 - THE JACKKNIFE

I just realized today as I watched this episode, that there's a connection, (coincidental maybe), to "Inger My Love". When Jody comes to Adam and asks him if his pa is bad, Adam tells him, "He might do a bad thing, but he's not bad." And when Adam asks the same question to Inger, she tells him, "He...

Re: Stories Of The Century 1954 - 1955

I have some of this series, and what I loved most about it was that it was one Western that was historically accurate. The themes and people they chose to focus on, as well as the plots of each story, were always based on actual events as featured in newspapers and such.

Re: Episode 257 - AMIGO

I found Joe's attitude to be quite out of character for him in the beginning. I get that he was upset over the things that had been happening to their friends and all, but to want to hang him on the spot? Or worse yet, throw him to the lynch mob? That didn't sound like Joe at all! Gregory Walcott I ...

Re: Episode 203 - THE DEBT

This episode was kind of strange to me. I mean, you had Wiley, who was trying to work off his father's debts just so they could have a decent name in society when Annie couldn't even read. He hated his father while Annie loved him and was willing to do just about anything for him. Tommy Sands was te...
