Re: Episode 85 - THE STORM

I watched this episode again the other night. Not particularly one of my favorites, but it was all right. I think my favorite part is when Ben finds Joe at the cabin and gives him the same advice that Captain Stoddard had given him when Elizabeth had passed.

Re: Episode 88 - THE JACKKNIFE

I just realized today as I watched this episode, that there's a connection, (coincidental maybe), to "Inger My Love". When Jody comes to Adam and asks him if his pa is bad, Adam tells him, "He might do a bad thing, but he's not bad." And when Adam asks the same question to Inger, she tells him, "He...

Re: Stories Of The Century 1954 - 1955

I have some of this series, and what I loved most about it was that it was one Western that was historically accurate. The themes and people they chose to focus on, as well as the plots of each story, were always based on actual events as featured in newspapers and such.

Re: Episode 257 - AMIGO

I found Joe's attitude to be quite out of character for him in the beginning. I get that he was upset over the things that had been happening to their friends and all, but to want to hang him on the spot? Or worse yet, throw him to the lynch mob? That didn't sound like Joe at all! Gregory Walcott I ...

Re: Episode 203 - THE DEBT

This episode was kind of strange to me. I mean, you had Wiley, who was trying to work off his father's debts just so they could have a decent name in society when Annie couldn't even read. He hated his father while Annie loved him and was willing to do just about anything for him. Tommy Sands was te...

Re: Episode 118 - HALF A ROGUE

I've always liked Slim Pickens, so seeing him in this role was quite interesting. However, I can't see him as being the type to kill anybody, not with his personality. I especially like the scene where Hoss is trying to get him to take his medicine and climbs on the bed, breaking it in the process. ...

Re: The Big Valley

Yes that was the episode with Robert Walker, Jr. Why did you hate it? It's not my favorite, but it's okay. I just watched The Iron Box a few days ago. Those Barkleys sure get themselves in some dangerous situations. Just like the Cartwrights. I just hated the way Robert Walker Jr.'s character was w...

Re: The Big Valley

And sometimes I think they even copied episode titles. I just watched a first season Big valley episode entitled "My Son, My Son". The title always reminds me of the BZ episode when Ben is going to marry Katherine and her outlaw son Eden comes back to town. His criminal past ruins Ben and Katherine...

Re: The Big Valley

The Cartwrights and Barkleys gave as good as they got a number of times. I just started watching my DVDs of The Big Valley again. i started with the first episode. I'm on the fourth episode and so far, Heath has punched someone in the face in every one. Of course the guy had it coming to him. But f...

Re: Episode 106 - THE WAY STATION

I re-watched this episode last night, and couldn't help thinking what a dumb-dumb Marty was. Her actions were ridiculous, a child's fairy tale dreams.
