Re: Episode 201 - THE SPOTLIGHT

And this also contains the throwaway line from Joe about 'We got rid of him," when Hoss starts reciting Shakespeare. It is assumed ML is referring to PR having left the series early after he fulfilled his contracts. I'm so glad you guys are here to talk about this. I'm watching the episode for the ...

Re: Episode 430 - THE HUNTER

The Hunter was on cable today. I always wondered why they didn't end with Adam coming home. Did they even try to get Pernell to come back for one last episode? I almost wished they would have just ended the series with the FOREVER episode.

Re: Episode 409 - SHANKLIN

I just saw this episode. Considering the episode is about Hoss and near death and blood clots, it was one of the most uncomfortable episodes I've ever watched. It's just too close to reality.

Re: Episode 59 - THE GIFT

Come on TVLand. I get that you cut scenes out so that you can sell more commericals. But dang it do NOT cut out the opening scene in The Gift. What?! Does that mean we don't see Adam until he's already dressed? Exactly. It started with the wounded guy coming into the fort. No wet wash cloth. :sad

Re: Episode 32 - DEATH AT DAWN

WOW, that is a good point! Adam DID know what it was like to lose someone, twice. :sob He lost his own mother when he was born. He never even got a chance to know her and love her. But he lost Inger, the woman who loved him and treated him like a son, when he was about six years old. He dealt with ...

Re: Episode 119 - THE LAST HAIRCUT

During the trail the witnesses identified the third man only to be trapped by the lawyer because the man was in jail at the time of the event. So was the third man a twin or were the witnesses wrong? Did they ever explain what happened?

Re: Episode 119 - THE LAST HAIRCUT

The episode was on cable today. It always makes me think about a later work of Michael Landon's "Sam's Son". I even double checked to make sure the Michael didn't write this story. The story is all about a kid who thinks if he grows out his hair it will give him super strength. BTW I am confused abo...

Re: Episode 86 - THE AULD SOD

I always have a hard time watching this episode. I saw James Dunn in several of his more popular movie roles before seeing him in Bonanza. And knowing some of the personal difficulties he went through makes this performance all the more real.

Re: Episode 94 - THE CRUCIBLE

The episode was just on today. I am kind of shocked at what I had forgotten about this. Like shooting the mule and how much Little Joe was in the episode. Weird but it felt like I was watching it for almost the first time. I guess there were some parts that just hit me so hard that the rest falls aw...
