Re: Episode 166 - THE PRESSURE GAME

Oh , the "Picnic"! That's another whole topic. :grin First, Adam DID promise to take them. He made a point of telling Peggy that he would take her. And it is really crummy to break a promise to a child. Of course he did have responsibilities to the ranch. He had to find the Bonner brothers and get t...

Re: Episode 126 - ANY FRIEND OF WALTER'S

I just watched the Walter episodes a few nights ago. Then I watched a few of the Laura Dayton episodes. To this day I can't understand why Walter seemed to have more common sense than Laura even though they were both blond. When Walter had a headache, he just took it easy. Laura on the other hand, p...

Re: Episode 166 - THE PRESSURE GAME

That's always been something I considered as to why Laura seemed to have so many personalities. They needed to assign ONE or maybe two writers to script the Laura arc. But the way they wrote it, she was all over the place. In reality, since Frank was gone a lot and then she was widowed, she obviousl...

Re: Episode 166 - THE PRESSURE GAME

Laura seemed to have chemistry with Adam until the show told her not to! :grin What I mean is that she seemed to have "her heart set on" Adam as her Aunt Lil said. Aunt Lil paid her niece a visit because she was worried. Laura wrote to her about Adam and she obviously sounded like she wanted to marr...

Re: Episode 416 - FOREVER

Thanks daisy! I assumed that Michael Landon just did what the bosses wanted him to do. But in this instance, I thought it was a tad unfair of them. One of his dearest friends had died suddenly and he was suppose to go on, rewrite the script and act like nothing had happened.

Re: Episode 416 - FOREVER

Those are my thoughts. Anybody agree? Anybody hate me? I don't agree, but I don't hate you either. I didn't watch Bonanza when it originally aired, so my reaction to the episode is different than someone who watched it when it originally aired. But I do think they could have had a happy ending. Rat...

Re: Episode 416 - FOREVER

I don't know why I am posting this. I'll probably make everyone angry or at least mad at me. :mad But after giving it a lot of thought, I don't think "Forever" should have EVER been filmed. Why get into this now? Maybe it's because of the COVID virus and hanging around the house, thinking depressing...

Re: Episode 136 - A PASSION FOR JUSTICE

JanettheWicked- the scene with Joe reading the newspaper was funny and could just as easily have been the evening paper. Hoss or Adam could've returned home and said something like, "Wait until you see what's in the evening paper about our house guest!" Joe grabs the paper and starts reading aloud, ...

Re: Episode 122 - THE ACTRESS

Joe falls and he falls fast - too fast. Of course, they all did, seeing as how each episode was independent of the others, with very few exceptions. It would be interesting to see Bonanza being made in today's format of continuing stories. We might actually get to know a few of the women who stole ...

Re: Episode 122 - THE ACTRESS

Not in my top ten, but a good episode. One of my favorite "Joe gets kicked by Cupid again" episodes. I never knew why there was a problem for some fans with the age difference of Joe and Julia. In reality, Pat Crowley was only thirty when the episode was filmed and Michael Landon was 27. Hardly a va...
