I've never seen The Third Man, but I looked it up and it does have some similarities. I guess there are only so many storylines.

Re: Episode 230 - THE UNWRITTEN COMMANDMENT

Good catch! I can see the family resemblance. I found this article about the brothers reconciling before Jerry's death. Apparently they were estranged for 20 years. https://www.reviewjournal.com/entertainment/entertainment-columns/kats/wayne-newton-thankful-for-final-connection-with-brother-jerry/ (...

Re: Episode 198 - LOTHARIO LARKIN

For some reason, this episode is the only Season 6 (or earlier) episode omitted from the most popular Bonanza syndication package. For some reason they put it in the "lost episode" package.

The twins were Alyce and Rhea Andrece. Their birth names were:
Alice Rhae Bielfeldt
Rhae Alice Bielfeldt

Re: Episode 226 - HER BROTHER’S KEEPER

The ending of this episode makes me so sad/mad - there was no reason for Claire to leave. I'm sure Ben would have gladly arranged for care for Carl. Claire and Ben were a lovely couple.

Re: Episode 63 - THE SECRET

Yeah, I thought the main plot point - Jerome masquerading as Joe - was weak. It only worked (initially) because the witness didn't see Jerome's face. And Betty May was a catch! The daughter of a banker, and she was pretty to boot (although they acted like she was plain.) I don't understand why her s...

Re: Episode 90 - THE WOOING OF ABIGAIL JONES

Watched this again yesterday. I was interested to hear, near the beginning, when they were talking about him getting married that Hoss and Joe were discussing altering the bunkhouse to accomodate his new wife (?!), Hoss says something about 'changing the sleeping arrangements'!!! Were they really p...

Re: Episode 131 - THE THUNDER MAN

Something I didn't notice the first few times I saw it, actually, is how did the father recognise Poole when he went in to help carry him to the wagon? Surely he never actually saw Poole, he did hear him whistling, but as soon as Poole came into the room the father knew it was him! How?! :no When P...
