Episode 68 - SPRINGTIME

Episode 69 - THE HONOR OF COCHISE

Date: October 8, 1961

Summary: The Cartwrights and a bigoted army captain are surrounded by Cochise and his warriors, who claim the officer poisoned 30 of their people. Realizing they have no water, Adam attempts to fill some canteens from a nearby stream. He is seriously wounded by an Apache bullet and Joe risks his life to bring his brother back to the safety of camp. Ben is determined to save his son’s life at any cost – even if it means talking to Cochise.

Episode 74 - THE FRIENDSHIP

Summary: Danny Kidd is a prisoner on a chain gang and through a combination of circumstances he comes to save Joe’s life after he is dragged by a spooked horse. Joe takes an interest in the man who has been in prison for thirteen years. Ben uses his clout to have Danny released from Yuma State Prison into his custody and Joe is personally responsible for Danny. However, Danny’s jail house mentality makes it difficult for him to adjust to “civilian” life. But, like a true friend, Joe stands by his side as Danny makes the difficult transition.
