What a sweet and poignant story. Nice show of the love between the two young brothers. A nice story on how the Cartwrights got that blue chair.

What a touching story!  Centering around 10-year-old Adam and his friend Violet, with Hoss and Ben as side characters, this story really brings out Adam's personality as he deals with emotions he struggles to understand like love and grief.  The descriptions throughout the story are vivid; I can just see little Hoss climbing up to his chair that's too high for him and Adam picking up the dropped book by the pond, and I can practically feel the velvet surface of the blue chair. This is a fantastic take on the Prop Fiction prompt, and I enjoyed it very much!

I just want to give Adam a hug. Great explanation for how the blue chair ended up in the Cartwrights’ house. Thank you for contributing a story for Prop Fiction.
