The Deputy ~ 1959-1961

The Deputy is Clay McCord (Allen Case), a storekeeper in 1880's Silver City, Arizona Territories.

He is an expert shot, but refuses to use his gun because he believes guns to be the major cause of frontier violence.

Clay is often persuaded to be The Deputy when Marshal Simon Fry (Henry Fonda) is out of town.
